Disc spring

Disc springs are designed for applications where limited installation space is associated with high axial forces. Due to their conical shape with a central hole, disc springs offer reliable preload and controlled spring action in critical systems. From braking systems to bolted connections, these springs provide precision, stability and longevity, even under extreme stress.

What is a disc spring?

A disc spring is a disc-shaped spring with a conical shape, where the force is absorbed in the axial direction. When unloaded, the spring has a characteristic cup shape (bowl height), which is pressed in a controlled manner during load. The geometry of the spring ensures a high force absorption with a relatively small displacement.

By stacking multiple disc springs (parallel, serial or combined), spring columns can be formed with different spring characteristics: from linear to progressive or degressive. This makes disc springs extremely suitable for technical applications where customization and precision are required.
