What is a steel leaf spring?
Een bladveer is a strip-shaped, resilient component that, due to its specific shape and choice of materials, can absorb, support or attenuate axial and radial forces. When unloaded, the spring has a curved shape that is flattened in a controlled manner under load, with the spring energy accumulating in the elastically deformed material. After removing the load, the leaf spring returns to its original shape, creating accurate and repeatable spring action.
Steel leaf springs are manufactured from spring belt or plate material, such as spring steel C75 or stainless steel 1.4310. Due to variations in geometry, material thickness and width, the spring characteristic can be precisely tailored to the desired application.
