As a Product Engineer at Tribelt and De Spiral, you design and develop customer-specific products, tools and fitting templates. In doing so, you work closely with sales, production and toolmaking to achieve solutions that are technically feasible and meet the needs of the customer. You design in SolidWorks, support with technical issues and participate in the mechanical design of new machines for internal production. In addition, you help improve existing processes and tools, you contribute to customer discussions and you take care of the elaboration and calculations of designs.

De Spiraal is gespecialiseerd in de ontwikkeling en productie van veren en draadproducten voor sectoren zoals machinebouw, medische industrie, landbouw, defensie en luchtvaart. Tribelt develops and produces metal conveyor belts, safety barriers, architectural mesh and other applications of woven metal wire and steel strips. Our products are used worldwide in, among others, the food industry, packaging sector, washing and cleaning technology and various non-food applications.
What really sets Tribelt apart is that we not only develop our products ourselves, but also the machines we use to produce. Together with our tool shop and an experienced engineering team of five colleagues, you will work as a Manufacturi Engineer in the development, improvement and production of these machines.

“My name is Kas and I've been working at Tribelt and De Spiral since December 2018. I started my career as a packer at De Spiral, after which I quickly grew to set/operate CNC machines. From this role, I eventually made the switch to the engineering department. This is where I started as a product engineer, where I mainly developed new products and tools.
Na een jaar kreeg ik de kans om te werken op de 5-assige freesbank, wat het werk complexer en uitdagender maakte. Ik freeste gereedschappen, vaak enkelstuks, met veel variatie in geometrie en bewerkingen. Voor het programmeren van complexe producten gebruik ik Edgecam, waarmee ik bewerkingen kan simuleren en voorbereiden voordat het product op de machine komt. Die combinatie van programmeren en produceren zorgt ervoor dat je het hele proces goed begrijpt en echt invloed hebt op het eindresultaat.
Het leukste aan mijn functie vind ik de vrijheid. Je bent zelf verantwoordelijk voor je machine en producten. Als je denkt dat een bewerking beter of efficiënter kan, is er ruimte om dit door te voeren. Dat houdt het werk uitdagend en zorgt voor voortdurende ontwikkeling.
Mijn tip voor wie deze functie gaat vervullen: werk in je eigen tempo, durf te proberen en geef je eigen draai aan het werk. Zo haal je het meeste uit zowel het werk als je persoonlijke groei.
